1. HAR GHAR TIRANGA 2026

As part of the Har Ghar Tiranga 2026 campaign, the College will organise activities aimed at fostering respect for the National Flag and strengthening the spirit of patriotism, national unity and responsible citizenship.

The programme will include a Tiranga Rally, patriotic presentation, brief addresses by students and faculty members, and student-created Tiranga-inspired artwork. The activities will encourage students to understand and uphold the dignity of the National Flag and the values of unity and national responsibility that it represents.

2. DAY OF REMEMBRANCE OF THE PARTITION OF BENGAL

In accordance with the communication received from the University, the College will observe 14 August as a “Day of Remembrance of the Partition of Bengal”, remembering the sufferings and hardships endured by the people of West Bengal during the period of Partition and Independence.

The programme will highlight the experiences of displacement, loss and suffering, as well as the social, cultural and economic impact of Partition on the people of West Bengal. It will also reflect upon the courage, resilience and sacrifices of those who faced the consequences of Partition and rebuilt their lives under difficult circumstances.

As part of the observance, the College will organise historical presentations, student and faculty addresses, cultural/reflective presentations and a special student-created Wall Magazine and Historical Exhibition titled “Smritir Rekha – From Partition to Rebuilding Lives.”

The observance is intended to enable students to engage with this significant chapter of history with sensitivity and to appreciate the enduring values of peace, harmony, empathy, resilience and humanity.

3. “SAFE DRIVE SAVE LIFE” – ROAD SAFETY AWARENESS PROGRAMME

The College will also organise a “Safe Drive Save Life” Road Safety Awareness Programme with the objective of promoting road-safety awareness and responsible behaviour among students.

The programme will emphasise the importance of following traffic rules, wearing helmets, avoiding the use of mobile phones while driving, avoiding overspeeding and unsafe driving practices, and respecting the safety of pedestrians and other road users.

Through this initiative, the College seeks to reinforce the importance of road safety as an essential aspect of social responsibility and responsible citizenship.
